Cold Therapy for Depression and Anxiety

Cold therapy has been shown to reduce depression, anxiety and stress as well improving mood. It is now being applied for non-pharmaceutical support with patients who suffer from chronic diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or fibromyalgia among others.

There are a few different ways to apply cold therapy. One way is to use ice packs or frozen vegetables wrapped in a towel. Another way is to take a cool bath or shower. You can also try ice baths, cold plunges (such as the Ice Barrel), and cryo therapy. Whichever method you choose, be sure to not overdo it and stay safe by monitoring your skin temperature.

If you suffer from chronic pain, cold therapy can be a great way to find relief. It is important to speak with your doctor before starting any new treatment, especially if you are taking medication for another condition.
